Shipping Policy: Fastbadge will be happy to use your FedEx or UPS shipper number to ship your order, however a $3 handling charge will apply.
Printing Process : Styles A, B & C badges are hot stamped. All other products are digitally imprinted in full color.
There will be a $20(f) type set fee on all namebadges orders where the names have not been type set and emailed to fastbadge.
Vector Artwork Files : Must be saved in the Postscript Format and contain no Postscript errors, stray points or colors assigned inconsistently to the supplier's published requirements. All type that has been sent must be converted to outlines (curves). If future changes to the text will be necessary, the original font file must be supplied with the art file for use on the supplier's specified computer platform (Mac or PC). All design elements in the file must meet the supplier's published minimums for line thickness. Failure to do so may compromise the final imprint quality. If the vector file contains any linked (placed) raster images these images must meet the supplier's minimum requirement for resolution when rendered at 100% actual imprint size and must be submitted with the original vector file.
Raster Artwork Files : All Raster elements and art files must be sized to 100% or larger than the actual imprint size. All Raster images must meet or exceed the supplier's published minimum resolution (pixels-per-inch) when rendered at the actual imprint size. All raster elements must be submitted in the proper color space (RGB or CMYK) as published by the supplier. All e-mailed files must be under 5 Megs.
Page Layout Document : Page layout documents must be prepared to render the artwork and all of its elements at 100% of actual imprint size. In addition to submitting the page layout documents, all vector and/or raster files that are referenced by the page layout document must also be included. Include any fonts that were used in the production of the page layout document or use on the supplier's specified computer platform (Mac or PC).
Acrobat (PDF) Files : PDF files created from vector files must retain the editing capabilities of the program that was used to create them (e.g. Illustrator or Freehand). PDF files that contain raster elements must meet the minimum requirements for raster art files as outlined by the supplier. PDF files that contain vector elements must meet the minimum requirements for vector art files as outlined by the supplier. PDF files created from page layout documents should be submitted together with the source documents, fonts and all supporting files.
Proofs : No matter what the format or transfer method, artwork should NEVER be submitted without either a hard copy proof or the electronic equivalent. Properly prepared PDF files are often suitable as proofs.
Other Than Above : Only professional software packages may be used to produce artwork. Although programs like Microsoft Word and Publisher are useful tools, they are not capable of producing art files of a quality necessary for imprinting purposes.
Miscellaneous : Color change on reorder= 20(f) Copy changes on reorder= 40(f) drop shipments on multiple locations = 4.00(c) per location We are PC/IBM compatible based, however we usually have no problem with MAC files as long as the software is compatible. Artwork is preferred by email or disc.
Paper Proofs : All orders get one proof for final approval before production. Fastbadge will resend corrected proof if an error was made on our behalf. Additional proofs needed for corrections made not due to a Fastbadge error will incur a $12.50(g) charge per proof.
Pre-Production Proofs : Setup charges and design for name badges include a pre-production proof at no charge. However, Fastbadge will not automatically send one unless it is specifically stated on the purchase order.
Fonts for variable Engraved Badges: At this time, we only offer Arial text: Times, Avant, Fifth, Gothic, Helvetica (bold), Block Futura, & Helvetic engraving fonts all of which can be converted to italics as well. Keep in mind, that due to the nature of engraving processes these fonts may not accurately produce the same typeface as a .ttf or other font format. All other products: We offer a wide array of fonts and will be happy to try and match a look that you are going for. Any font that is required but Fastbadge does not have, may be supplied to us with a $40.00(f) one time setup charge. All copy will be typeset according to our standard fonts (Arial and Times New Roman) and typesetting norms unless otherwise specified.
Production Time : Release program reorders: Most released within 24 hours. Primo and Colorgrave badges: Most reorders 24 hours New Orders: 3 days after proof approval Styles A, B, and C: Reorders 3-5 days; New orders: 10 working days. All other products: 5-7 working days.
Rush Service : We pride ourselves on our quick service. Often times, however, customers need SUPERFAST SERVICE. This service means anything faster than our normal, quick production time. There is a 50% additional charge plus overnight freight on any product that needs SUPERFAST SERVICE.
Release Program : A release program is where we extend the customer the quantity discount for orders placed and prepaid in full. If only a portion of them are to be personalized with the initial order, we will stock the remainder for future personalization and release them as needed.
For every badge remaining in inventory there will be a $1.88(g) {price subject to change without notice as the price of US Mail increases} charge that covers future shipping. (Example: An order for 100 badges is placed. 50 will ship immediately and 50 will remain in inventory. 50 x $1.88 = $94 release charge added to the total order for 100 badges plus setup and shipping for initial 50 badges). Badges will be released by US Mail only or additional charges will apply.
